The collection consists of papers of Albert Heishberg and the Heishberg family from 1908-1985. The materials document the Heishberg family's interest and involvement with various Atlanta-area and national issues and organizations. The collection includes bulletins, reports, and printed material pertaining to Congregation Ahavath Achim (1954-1985); printed material relating to numerous Jewish women's organizations, including the Atlanta Chapter of B'nai B'rith Women (1961), Congregation Ahavath Achim Sisterhood (1955-1958), and the Atlanta Chapter of Hadassah (1934, 1957); printed material from the Jewish Progressive Club (1945-1958); and blueprints, correspondence, minutes, and financial records relating to the Roseland Cemetery (Atlanta, Ga.) (1952-1971). The collection also contains scrapbooks pertaining to the Textelettes, a social club for women involved in the cotton waste industry (1953-1964) and to the Saul family (1938).
